EYPS are partnered with various Specialist schools for children with additional needs, learning difficulties and special educational needs. Key to our success in this sector is finding skilled and passionate learning support assistants that want to work in this specialist sector. If you are experienced with supporting children with special education needs, and are hardworking we would love to offer you a position as soon as possible. We regularly help find practitioners their dream permanent role in this sector.
Key responsibilities and requirements for this role will include:
> To be fully up-to-date with the Early Years Foundation Stage and/or National Curriculum knowledge.
> To follow all setting policies and procedures including the Health and Safety policy, Safeguarding policy and Confidentiality policy.
> To be confident with positive behaviour management strategies (experience of team- teach is desirable)
> To provide a consistently safe, engaging and inclusively accessible learning environment.
> To support and focus the learning progress of individuals or groups of young people giving feedback on progress where appropriate.
> To support with additional learning needs, communication and interaction needs, social and emotional difficulties and/or sensory/physical needs.
> To support teachers with general classroom tasks, evaluating learning activities and maintaining progress records.
> To ensure clean and hygienic standards are maintained.
An enhanced DBS check will be needed for the successful candidate (can be applied for on application) as well as two satisfactory references which will be sought upon application for this post.
